Mason County Democratic Party Welcomes Curtis Hertel, New Chair MI Dems
The Mason County Democratic Party is delighted to welcome the newly elected Chair of the Michigan Democratic Party, Curtis Hertel as our guest speaker at our monthly membership meeting, March 6, beginning promptly at 7 PM.
We are thrilled Curtis is able to be with us via Zoom at our in person gathering Thursday night, as our original guest speaker, Daniel Bissell, needed to change plans.
“Working people deserve better, and I’m ready to roll up my sleeves to ensure Democrats can deliver at every level of the ballot in Michigan," Curtis said in a post election statement Feb. 22. "As we face the fiercest test of our democracy in our lifetime, Michigan Democrats are stepping up to fight back and protect our communities all across the state. We are going to hold Republicans accountable for each and every time they’ve sold out middle-class Michiganders to pad the pockets of billionaires."
A former county official, state senator and advisor to Governor Gretchen Whitmer, Curtis has pledged to "work as one team, in every county across the state, to build a stronger party that looks out for everyone."

The Mason County MI Democratic Party conducts one General Membership meeting, one Speaker meeting, and one Membership Discussion Meeting per quarter. All are welcome.
