MARCH MAD AS HELL HUMP DAY RALLY, 3/12/25
The Mason County Democratic Party kicked off March 12 its “Mad as Hell Hump Day protest, from noon to 1:00 pm in front of the Mason County Courthouse in downtown Ludington. More than 50 people attended, signs in hand to protest the Trump-Musk chaos campaign we are living through just two months into this administration.
The peaceful protestors expressed their anger regarding the current reckless chainsaw approach to government efficiency — destroying the livelihood of the civil servants we rely on and make it more difficult for citizens to find/receive the services they need.
Trump and his cronies are dismantling, with no warning or transparency, civil service offices and positions in place for constituent services. Trump’s executive orders and actions are dismantling our government at warp speed, with no plan for the path forward.
At the rally people held signs that reflect their fears and concerns, from protecting Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid, our veterans, and public education to ending the unnecessary tariffs and support for Ukraine.
Mason County Dems will continue their Wednesday noon rallies on March 19 and 26 in front of the courthouse.
