Michigan Democratic Party Convention in Detroit

The Mason County MI Dems were in the house at this year's state convention in Detroit. Five members from our executive board were able to attend the one day event at the Renaissance Center, among the nearly 3,000 credentialed party members there.

Welcoming in the new leadership for the state party is Curtis Hertel as party chair, Portia Roberson as First Vice Chair, and Dr. Shahin Nazmul Hassan as Second Vice Chair.

In the Second Congressional District, our new leadership includes:
John Helge (Manistee) Chair
Cathy Willermet (Isabella County) Vice Chair
Peggy Raddatz (Manistee County) Secretary
Dallas Dean (Newaygo County) Treasurer

From the Second Congressional District, Robin Aslakson is one of five female delegates, with Ed Miller one of six male alternate delegates to serve on the state executive committee from the Mason County Dems.
